International Youth and Social Circus Network

Circus Transformation in Action

Based on five years of EU-funded research, working with two universities and eight Caravan members, Circus Trans Formation In Action (CTF) provides ongoing training in social circus. Our trainers take four learning modules at four different international circus schools, joining circus trainers from across the world.

Through exercises, group discussions and the guidebook, they share experiences and learn from some of the most experienced trainers at the hosting schools. The goal is to equip the trainers with confidence, new perspectives and methods for training within the social circus field.

What About Youth (WAY)

The Caravan WAY is a group of 10 young representatives from our member organisations, who are the pioneers and voices of the young communities from accross our network.

Their objectives are to amplify the voices of the young people in their respective communities, and help determine the future direction of the network.

Circus as an Intercultural Encounter

We are thrilled to share the final results of the CIE, an initiative aimed at promoting intercultural dialogue and fostering knowledge and acceptance of diversity in society.

Our efforts focused on developing and disseminating a training program featuring innovative skills and practices essential for effective anti-racism and social inclusion interventions. This program is particularly designed to address the needs of refugee communities, asylum seekers, and new migrant youth, helping to create a more inclusive and understanding society.

Sorin Sirkus is a circus arts center operating in Tampere. It was founded in 1985 to develop, maintain and present youth circus art. More than 600 students attend the circus every week, and the circus education extends from babies to circus high school students as well as special groups, adult courses and workshops.

The city has a diverse selection of art and culture institutions and individuals providing services and experiences for both citizens and visitors. Her professional focus in Tampere is developing cultural premises

Tampere’s most significant project is the transformation of a 30,000 m² former pulp mill in Hiedanranta, Western Tampere. They’re reimagining this space into the future Hiedanranta Cultural Center – a dynamic ecosystem for cultural organizations and creative professionals. The center will host a wide range of art forms, including music, theater, dance, circus, literature, and crafts. We’re working closely with cultural stakeholders to ensure that sustainability, inclusivity, and accessibility are at the core of our planning.
